OPEN GEAR
GREASE SPRAY

Controlled Lubrication design the open gear spray system to suit any width of pinion gears. The system can be installed and operated from a one-off pulverising mill, to the full mill bay of a coal-fired power station.

The system is designed to spray a fixed amount of open gear grease at regular intervals and evenly across the face of the pinion tooth. This is achieved by pumping grease through a progressive distributor, to a number of air atomising spray nozzles. If any fault should occur an alarm will be set and stating the fault in written form on the HMI screen.
A general alarm is available for remote use

Running from a central or individual control unit and pump station, The system is interlocked to the individual mill so, when the mill shuts down, the spray system automatically shuts off.
The equipment cabinet is mounted as close as possible to the spray panel but outside any machine guarding, this allows testing and maintenance The spray panel is constructed from mild or stainless steel plate and fixed to the guard by bolting or can be hinged to allow inspection of the gears
